EquaFish started with a simple observation: aquaculture is drowning in data and starving for insight.
In 2024 we got into the industry as curious students. We talked to operators, many of them, and heard the same stories again and again: stacks of production data scattered across different systems with no way to see the whole picture. Critical decisions made on gut feel because the information needed was impossible to dig out in time. And the fragility when all the knowledge sat with one or two key people.
There had to be a better way.
We went to the sites, joined morning meetings, and listened, not to what people said they needed, but to the problems they actually struggled with every day. We saw the frustration of jumping between systems, the time stolen by manual reporting, and the worry about what happens when key people aren't available.
The result is EquaFish, the production assistant that places biological and operational data in context, so the people who look after the fish can identify and realise their site's true production potential.
We do this in a way that makes the day-to-day simpler and decisions safer.
